This past weekend I had out-of-state family stop in for a lovely visit, my parents stayed over one night and my sister and nephews came for a visit. We sure packed a lot into one weekend!!! But it was awesome to see everyone & get so much good visiting time in. So, after my sister arrived we intended on going to the Children's Museum but it was already closed when we got there. So instead we headed to the playplace in the mall. WOW - sooo many kids were there, it was insane! Are we crazy for wanting to put our toddlers in neon colored shirts the next time we go anywhere?! haha After a half hour we decided it was time to be done watching big kids plow over the little ones and listening to kids screaming & crying! We tried allowing the kids play in the McDonald's playplace & even that was a trainwreck. Service was slow and the kids were getting antsy. One just kept screaming for french fries, my son was getting tired & only wanted milk and the other older boy was actually being quite good. Another little toddler girl was in there playing but wouldn't stop bullying my nephew the entire time & not letting him play. So of course they were in the upper area and my sister had to climb all the way up there to separate them. At this point, it was time to go! Played a little longer at home & then finally time for bed. That meant peace & quite for us mommas! #adulting
So what do we do?! Go to bed and get a decent night of sleep?! haha NO! Find a movie on tv and stay up until 1am watching it....ugh Soooo tired the next day!!!! But sooo worth it to have good sister time! xoxo Then to top off the weekend on a good note, we get a huge snowstorm on yesterday causing my son to not go to daycare and hubby not driving all the way into work. We enjoyed watching the beautiful flakes come down all day long. Then went out to play in the fresh snow! We made snowballs and my son enjoyed being pulled in the sled. We couldn't have asked for a better way to end the weekend.
