Good question!
This inquiry often comes up at consultation meetings and it's wonderful to know what a photographer offers prior to your session with them. That can sometimes make or break the session booking! I am an open book and want my clients to be happy with what they will receive from me. I only offer the highest quality of products from well-known, reputable labs with excellent customer service! Do you want to have beautiful photos taken but worry that they are going to be shared amongst the world on all social media platforms and end up forever stored "in the cloud" somewhere?!
Don't worry, your session is safe with me! I love all photography sessions: families, children, seniors, newborns, small intimate weddings, everything! But I think my favorite just might be studio sitter sessions! At this age the child is learning so much and taking everything in around them.
They are learning to roll over, sit & balance, touch & textures, finding their voice, stranger danger and so so much more! These brave little souls come into my studio not knowing me and only wanting their mom. And moms want them to open up to me quickly because the sessions go by quick & life is busy....no one can stay in the studio the entire day hanging out with me....well, some might be able to! 😊 I have recently been requested to take some product photos for someone. I love this idea & cannot wait to get started on the project! It's something new, something different & something to continue to test my skills.
I took some test shots the other day of my own wedding bouquet to capture the details and show off the elegance. This lovely bouquet was made by my husband's very talented uncle!!! xoxo Thanks Mark, much love still....every day I'm amazed at it's beauty! I recently read another person's blog and I absolutely love one of her statements: Resist the Urge to Pick up Your Camera First. In this modern age we all want to take a photo, show it off to the world, snap a selfie and then just move on to the next exciting thing. Why do we do this?! Social media has created monsters out of all of us, and yes I will be the first to admit that I am a photoaholic and document EVERYTHING that happens in my, my family and my son's life!!!! I want those memories preserved so we can look back on them and relive those awesome (or sometimes not-so-awesome) moments and memories! And we all want to share those moments with the world, because - seriously - what is life without Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and messaging?!?! 😆 j/k
Well it's official, in 3 days my husband & I will have survived the first 2 years of our son's life! He's going to be TWO....whaaaat?!?! And let me tell you, it's not always picnics and fairytales in this house!!! 😉 Oh no, it's been a loooong two years, but sooo much fun has been had and I wouldn't change it for the world.
Hunter is the epitome of a toddler already.... Mr Independent, headstrong, free-willed, adventurous, creative As I prepare for reveal sessions with clients, I pre-design wall art galleries that they may be interested in. It's always nice to see how your photos look on a wall with other photos and what sizes they look best in!
What's interesting though is how just an individual photo looks on a wall. A small piece of wall art may cost less but unless you're a foot away from it, it looks quite unproportionate on a big, bare wall. So, if you're going to order just one amazing photo, GO BIG!!! 😀 This past weekend I had out-of-state family stop in for a lovely visit, my parents stayed over one night and my sister and nephews came for a visit. We sure packed a lot into one weekend!!! But it was awesome to see everyone & get so much good visiting time in.
So, after my sister arrived we intended on going to the Children's Museum but it was already closed when we got there. So instead we headed to the playplace in the mall. WOW - sooo many kids were there, it was insane! Are we crazy for wanting to put our toddlers in neon colored shirts the next time we go anywhere?! haha Thank you for taking the time to check out my blog & see what this is all about. Bear with me in this beginning experience as I am brand new to the "blogging world". I have decided to create this blog to help my photography business, Shooting Candidly, LLC., gain more exposure in the community. I hope to post exciting adventures, fun topics & share educational information. All will be in regards to motherhood, raising toddlers, photography, business ventures and just plain old life ventures! I look forward to sharing my life experiences with you all & hope to connect with everyone in a wonderfully, different way! I promise to do my best to not embarrass my husband too much either! haha I welcome commenting on my blogs & even receiving personal message requests for topics! Thanks in advance for following me & helping me get the word out about myself & my photography. Photographing Families, Newborns, Couples, Children, Seniors and Pets
